To illustrate the power and potential of Digital Twins, let’s consider a real-world implementation at the Nordic Center Planica, one of the most renowned ski-jumping venues in the world.

We upgraded two of the most popular ski-jumping hills, HS102 and HS138, with digital twins for 24/7 wind and speed monitoring, facilitated through remote access using open web technologies.

The digital twins integrated a wide range of sensors including 4 retroreflective photocells, 10 wind speed & direction sensors, 4 UHF RFID antennas, 1 monitor, 2 displays, and 2 keypads.

Furthermore, the digital twin was expanded to include a practice analytics system. This addition allows each ski-jumper to track their performance based on processed data from the ski-hills, showcasing the symbiosis of digital twins and advanced analytics.
